Sessions available virtually & limited in-person in Santa Monica.
If you've ever replayed a conversation twelve times in the shower wondering what you "should have said," you're in good company.
Maybe you lose yourself trying to keep the peace.
You feel confused about how you feel and if your boundaries are "unreasonable".
Maybe you keep finding yourself in familiar relationship dynamics and wonder,
"Why does this keep happening?"
Or maybe you simply know something doesn't feel right, even if you can't explain why.
Like many of the people I work with, I've learned what it's like to understand something intellectually while still feeling stuck living it.
I've yet to meet someone whose patterns didn't make sense once we understood their story.
I don't think most people need more advice.
I think they need an experience of being with themselves differently.
My role isn't to tell you who you are.
It's to help create the conditions where you can remember that for yourself.
I often think healing feels much less like becoming someone new and much more like remembering who you were before survival asked you to become someone else.
I think our youngest selves often knew something about who we were before the world taught us who we needed to be.
Imagine If…
you trusted yourself instead of second-guessing yourself
you could stay connected to yourself during difficult conversations
boundaries felt clearer and easier to hold
relationships felt less confusing and more fulfilling
you felt more at home in yourself
This is the kind of change our work is designed to support.
If you're curious about how this work can help, I'd love to share more.
What Clients Say
I'm a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and training as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Some of the most meaningful education of my life, however, has happened outside the therapy room through years of sacred medicine and women's lineage work. It showed me that healing isn't something we accomplish alone. It's something that happens in relationship: with our bodies, with each other, and with something larger than ourselves.
Even as a kid, I was always wondering what people weren't saying. I'd leave conversations thinking about what someone might have been feeling underneath their words. I thought everyone noticed these things. I didn't realize it was unusual until much later. Looking back, I can see this has always been one of the ways I naturally move through the world.
I've always loved stories that unfold through different characters' perspectives. The kind where you slowly discover how each person became who they are, what they're carrying beneath the surface, and how differently they experience the very same moment. As the story unfolds, judgment gives way to understanding. That's how I see people.
During my clinical training I realized something that surprised me: people often understood exactly why they struggled, but insight alone wasn't creating lasting change.
Every person I meet has a story that makes sense. Beneath every protective pattern, every fear, every way of coping, is an intelligent human being who adapted the best they could. My calling is to help people discover this compassion for themselves. Not because compassion is another self-improvement strategy, but because I've watched people spend years trying to change themselves, only to discover that understanding themselves was what finally allowed change to happen.
The longer I've done this work, the less interested I've become in helping people fix themselves, and the more interested I've become in helping them understand themselves. Again and again, I've watched people discover that the parts they've spent years fighting often make perfect sense. I love the moment when someone starts laughing because they suddenly understand something that used to make them feel ashamed. You can almost feel the room exhale. That's the moment I know they're beginning to relate to themselves differently.
I believe compassion allows us to embody who we truly are. As we become more fully ourselves, we each bring something unique that no one else can offer. I think of humanity as a living tapestry, where every person carries an irreplaceable thread. Sometimes one person's courage to live authentically gives another permission to do the same. To me, this is part of our sacred responsibility as human beings: to heal not only for ourselves, but because the way we live in relationship with ourselves inevitably shapes the world we share.
Training & Background
It's about understanding yourself in a new way.
Many people come to therapy knowing a lot about themselves.
They've reflected, read the books, listened to the podcasts, and understand where many of their patterns come from.
Yet in the moments that matter, they still react in ways they wish they wouldn't.
That's because many of the ways we learned to relate weren't learned through thinking.
They were learned through experience.
Real change happens when we begin to create new experiences, not just new insight.
How We'll Work Together
I see your patterns as intelligent adaptations, not flaws.
Rather than asking, "How do I get rid of this?" we'll begin by asking,
"What has this been trying to protect? And what is it asking for so it can soften?"
Together we'll slow things down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and gently create the conditions for new ways of relating to emerge.
This work isn't about fixing you.
It's about attuning to you, so you can experience yourself differently.
What It's Like to Working Together
I strive to create a space where you don't have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or have everything figured out. All of you is welcome.
Sometimes we'll spend most of our session talking.
Other days we may spend several minutes noticing what happens in your chest when you remember a conversation with your mom.
Sometimes we laugh.
Sometimes we sit quietly because words aren't what your nervous system needs in that moment.
Every session looks a little different because every person is different.
One thing I hear often is, "I didn't even realize I was holding my breath."
Healing doesn't usually happen through dramatic breakthroughs. More often, it happens in quiet moments that almost don't seem important until you realize you're responding to life differently.
We'll celebrate insight, but we won't stop there.
We'll stay curious about what your body is communicating, what your relationships are reflecting, and what new possibilities begin to emerge when you no longer have to spend so much energy protecting yourself.
My role isn't to tell you who you are.
It's to help create the conditions where you can remember that for yourself.
This Work May Be a Good Fit If You…
keep repeating relationship dynamics you don't understand
struggle to trust yourself or speak up for what you need
feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected in relationships
understand your patterns but still feel stuck
are looking for an approach that works with both the mind and the body
A Few Questions People Often Ask
Do I need to know what's wrong before we start?
Not at all. Honestly, many people arrive saying some version of, "I don't even know where to begin." That's completely okay. We begin wherever you are.
What if I've already done a lot of therapy?
Insight is valuable. This work focuses on helping those insights become lived experience.
What if I get overwhelmed?
We'll move at a pace that feels supportive. Healing happens when we honor our unique pace and rhythm.
How long does therapy take?
Every person's process is different. Some people come with a specific goal in mind and some come with a broader process they are undergoing. We'll regularly check in about what's feeling helpful and what you're hoping for.
I offer virtual sessions anywhere & limited availability for in-person sessions in Santa Monica, CA.
This is a general way I describe my work. The work is flowing and adaptable to you, where you are and what you need for where you're going.
For some this process will lean more toward verbal processing, for others we will integrate more of the body. I do use my insight and intuition to help you find the sweet spot, the place that meets your edge for growth but doesn't overwhelm you — it feels gentle but sturdy... that's where growth happens.
There is no right or wrong, everything is possible.
A powerful way of working with the nervous system is through touch work. Utilizing somatic frameworks and energetic principles, I use gentle touch to create attunement in the body.
Touch that is attuned creates space for the body to organize in a way that it may never have had before, allowing it to naturally unwind what it has been holding, all on its own.
I love this work because it's intuitive — and you don't have to do anything but receive, a space where our potential for healing are limitless.
Traditionally this work is done while laying on a massage table however we can also engage with touch virtually as well as guided self-touch work.
This is my favorite space to work with, and the most important part of any expansive experience. Be it an initiation from a phase of life, a major event, or working with consciousness expanding tools... integration turns an experience with new insight to an embodied shift.
Big experiences widen our perception of ourselves, life and our relationship to everything — and we need the work of integration to expand our capacity to hold and sustain all of this newness, so we don't revert back to our same old familiar path.
This is also a space to play, to be creative with your process, to explore new ways your experience might be guiding you to express yourself in the way that is authentic to your uniqueness.
Medicine is a sacred tool that we may engage with for many reasons, often when we are feeling stuck, limited by our own consciousness or looking to process trauma from a different place. They offer us different perspective and more capacity to process material from a different state where we can stay connected to ourselves and the material, allowing us to find more completion.
When guided, these medicines hold the potential to greatly expand our way of relating to ourselves, our stories and the world around us. We have the opportunity to be witnessed and see our own mechanisms.
This is an individual and unique experience, always held in ceremony with reverence for the medicine and the profound privilege to engage with it. We can discuss if this is right for you at this time and all of what it entails.
